my heart remembers how! my heart remembers how! my heart remembers how! my heart remembers how!

“mt saint michael”

...is the recording vehicle of Lucas Grant, a self-described “creative generalist” from Philadelphia, PA, based in New York City. Lucas’ work is highly eclectic, juxtaposing modern pop music tropes with ambient texture, fuzzy samples, and the byproducts of analog audio equipment. his songwriting takes influence from modern folk greats like Phil Elverum and Justin Vernon, often mythologizing his own life experience while deriving inspiration from literature and scripture.

Lucas has worked extensively as an instrumentalist, songwriter, and record producer, providing studio support across a wide variety of genres and sounds. when the sun sets in New York, he moonlights as a DJ, spinning blown out and bombastic sets of alternative dance music. his nightlife pursuits—as both performer and promoter—have sold out numerous New York nightclubs and raised money for multiple charities.

outside of his artist project, Lucas is a member of ORANGECAP—a Philadelphia-based production company—and serves as the features editor of BULLET* Magazine. he has worked extensively in live events, social media, and music merchandising, and handles management for the folk-pop musician wishlane. you can most likely find him reading a book on the subway, or eating dumplings in a dark Chinatown basement. don’t be afraid to say “hello.”
